Insect hotel

Bees, beetles, butterflies, flies, and other insects have not been doing well for a long time. These critters are invaluable to nature but are increasingly disappearing. To counteract the decline in the insect population, it is important to give insects space. We do this with our insect hotels.
The origin of the material
In the production of the benches, Grijsen keeps pieces of wood. These wood scraps are of very high quality and have a sustainably grown origin, FSC, or responsibly harvested domestic wood. In the past, this leftover wood went into the stove. Today, this is no longer what we want. We strive to handle our raw materials as sustainably as possible. Re-use, recycling, and circular economy are concepts that more and more organizations and people are working with. This gave Grijsen the idea of doing something useful with our leftover wood: using it in an insect hotel.
