Exclusive courtyard garden with custom-made benches in Berlin
In Berlin, the second part of a large custom-made project has been delivered some time ago. On the Lehrterstraße in Berlin, they worked hard on a large new construction project where apartment buildings have been realized. This new district is located in the heart of the center of Berlin, close to the Hauptbahnhof. The apartments are very luxurious and all have access to the central courtyard gardens. These enclosed courtyards are pleasant places to spend the summer. There was also a need for seating, for which Grijsen was called in.

More than 30 benches, all unique
In the first part, 16 benches were designed, produced, and installed. The second part included another 16 benches. After placing the benches, a lot of work was done on the greenery and the paving elements. Later on, another four benches will be placed. The design of these benches was done in-house and the special thing is that each bench has a unique design. For a special project, special furniture may be used.
The wooden seating elements are placed on concrete elements. These concrete elements have ventilation grids that provide ventilation for the underlying parking garage. This is a nice example of two purposes being combined in one element.
