New benches and tables for the campus in Bielefeld
The Bielefeld campus provides space for several research and development centers and is intended in the future to become one of the most modern university locations in Germany. In addition, a lively urban district with connected green areas is developing in the vicinity of the university and college, where people from all over the world live and work.

Importance for Bielefeld and Ostwestfalen-Lippe
A new campus will not only benefit the university and the college of higher education. For the city of Bielefeld and the entire region of East-Westphalia-Lippe, it will bring promotion of knowledge and liveliness. There are currently around 25,000 students.

Staff initiative
As part of the UNIplus personnel initiative, the university has constructed a new building: Building Z. It is used by the Faculty of Education, which is largely housed there. Currently, there are 120 office spaces in Building Z. An expansion to double the number of office spaces is in full swing and should be completed by the end of this year.
For the new outdoor facilities in Building Z, benches and tables from Grijsen's Bend series have been used. The furniture is chosen so that the objects, if necessary, can be rearranged. This ensures that the furniture can get a new place when the campus is extended and that no new furniture has to be purchased unnecessarily.
