Industrial design for the outdoor area of the UPS office area
29,000 packages per hour are sorted at the brand new UPS building in Eindhoven. The location was put into operation at the end of last year and covers 27,000 square meters, providing work for many people. To allow employees to relax outside during their breaks, the outside area has also been decorated. Matching the industrial character of the location is chosen for the Big Bench of Grijsen.

An industrial outdoor bench
The Big Bench is a sturdy outdoor bench that breathes the atmosphere of a large factory building. The industrial look of the bench is expressed in the visibility of the mounting materials, the striking and sturdy construction of the steel frame, and the robust wood of the seat and the backrest. In total there are over 30 Big Benches placed on the outside of the UPS. There are also two picnic sets with the same steel construction as the Big Bench.

The Big Bench, like all our street furniture, has been well thought out. As a company, we feel it is important to contribute to the sustainable quality of public spaces. Therefore we develop and produce products with a long life span, made of sustainable materials. We also make conscious choices to make our business operations as sustainable as possible. We use renewable energy, we are certified for the CO2 performance ladder and we consciously choose to work with other sustainable partners, such as NL Greenlabel and Staatsbosbeheer, and we are active in the field of social return.
