Various seating elements embellish Kerkrade market square
At the beginning of June, the renewed market square of Kerkrade was officially taken into use. Grijsen has provided the new square with several beautiful and unique elements to embellish the public space. One such element is the "Stammtisch". This table is specially designed for the market square and consists of a high table with six seating elements. This 'Stammtisch' invites you to sit down and meet people.

Variants of the Plane
There are also various benches on the square that are variations of the Plane bench. The Plane bench has been custom-made for Kerkrade. The base of the bench has been made narrower and the back is made of solid wood. Also, the backrest is the full length of the sofa. The well-known shape of the back of the Plane sofa has been retained making it very comfortable to sit on. In short, an ideal bank to enjoy the events on the market square.
Besides the street furniture, Grijsen also placed tree grids for the tree supply on the square. These trees contribute to an attractive atmosphere in the city center. The currant, cherry, and honey trees with their fragrances and colors provide a beautiful seasonal experience. The renewed market square is part of the city center plan that was designed by Buro Lubbers. The new square invites us to stay, enjoy and meet.
