Unique seating elements on the Scheveningen boulevard

In Scheveningen, the boulevard has been completely renewed and given an inviting, contemporary look. In this project, Grijsen served the vision of architect Manuel de Sola-Morales. He created the integral design for the boulevard, including the accompanying benches. We produced these benches, which are characterized by their slightly reclining shape and their maritime and open character. Grijsen was also responsible for the development and installation of the benches. The latter was a critical component because of the beautiful shell top layer of the pavement, which had to connect seamlessly to the bench. The benches are excellent: many hundreds of visitors to the seaside resort have already sat down to look out over the sea in a relaxed way.
