Dynamic square with planters and stages of corten steel
The municipality of Vlissingen wanted to give Bellamy Park a new relationship with the old harbors. To this end, the park, which covers more than 10,000 m2, was radically redesigned. Because events take place there regularly, the public space has to be walkable and attractive

The space is organized into a spacious terrace area and a slightly recessed central area. Unique are the mobile stage/seating elements in 'puzzle form', which can be used on their own but also connected in various ways. In this way, it is easy to create the necessary space for an event. In collaboration with Okra architects, we also developed robust planters that make the square spatial.
These planters are made of Corten steel. As a result, the planters acquired an attractive, rust-colored color over time. This is the characteristic of the steel.
Thanks in part to the friendly appearance and functionality of the square, the park is the new beating heart of Vlissingen.
