Curved outdoor benches for the public space
Weaving through the public space
All sorts of benches can be found in public spaces. These are often straight benches, for example along a footpath, at the edge of a square or in a high street.
A unique twist on the standard outdoor bench is the ‘swinging bench’: a bench that swings as it moves through the public space. It creates a playful atmosphere and can give the area a unique look.

The use of curved benches in public spaces
Curved benches offer designers an opportunity to provide outdoor spaces with a real eye-catcher. The atmosphere and style they bring can help to create attractive and inviting environments.
Whether it’s a park, a square or an office in need of a touch of playfulness, a curved bench can provide just that. With a curved bench, you’re not only offering a functional place to sit, but also a touch of aesthetic appeal.
The varied design and flexibility make it possible to create unique layouts that bring the space to life – from quiet corners to meeting places.
Curved benches fit in particularly well when lots of organic shapes are used.
Seating comfort and quality
Grijsen’s curved benches are characterised by their meticulous and well-thought-out design; they are crafted with precision using the finest quality wood and steel.
The beams of the benches taper towards the ends, just like Grijsen’s tree benches. The spacing between the wooden beams is consistent throughout – a subtle yet well-considered design detail that ensures optimum seating comfort.
